The songs were written by the actors in the film, the music producer and other local musicians from Alice Springs during the film production stage. They were often written in between takes, on a break from set or in late night lounge sessions inspired from that day's shoot.

The key to the authenticity of the Under Streetlights film songs is that there was no formal process for writing them. No one was told what they needed to write or how their song needed to sound. They were encouraged to express themselves and their own musical style, whilst connecting to their character through their lyrics and music.

TAKE A CHANCE is written by lead actress Madison Hull, Music Producer Cain Gilmour and Madison's little sister Cadence Hull. Madison and her twin sister Micaela are the beautiful voices behind the first single to be released from the film soundtrack.
